Earthtone9 released their first album in 11 years this summer, “In Resonance Nexus” has been an album many people thought would never happen but many more hoped would.
The iconic British metal band have had such an impact on the world of British heavy music, they even have a festival named after one of their albums – “arc’tan’gent” released in 2000. Formed in 1998, the band exploded onto the scene in their own unique clingfilm gift wrap. They shook the UK scene until they left in 2002. Hope of a band reform was squashed when vocalist Karl Middleton, not only started a new band “Twin Zero”, but eventually relocated to the US. Fast forward, Mr Middleton returned to the UK and dreams were answered when the band reformed in 2010, a new record followed in 2013 followed by a dashing of dreams that the band had again reached their end in 2022. But, like all fairy tales, there was a twist and answer to dreams with an announcement early 2024 to say a new album was in the works. And here we are, new album in hand and hosting the band for an INCREDIBLY intimate show in Frome of all places. What a time to be alive.
