Skinny Lister’s The Devil, The Heart & The Fight is turning 10 years old and the band are taking it back out on the road to celebrate the milestone. It is widely praised as a stellar, high-energy folk-punk record. Critics celebrate the London sextet for blending pub-rock raucousness with polished, foot-stomping melodies, effectively elevating their signature shanty-folk sound into a bigger, more adventurous direction. The album balances lively, punk-inflected folk anthems with heartfelt, acoustic storytelling. Think of a modern-day Pogues or Flogging Molly, featuring shout-along choruses, driving acoustic guitars, and accordion-laced singalongs.
